Everton and Aston Villa keep spot 1 and 2 respectively.
Aston Villa are the only team with a perfect record.
Arsenal dropped out of the top four after another league defeat against Manchester City.
Liverpool are third in the league and 2 points from the top.
Burnley, Sheffield United, and Fulham picked up their first point of the season.
Chelsea and Tottenham blew away their lead to finish the round with a point. Chelsea dropped points against Southampton, Tottneham dropped points against West ham.

Manchester United were the only winning team to do so by more than a goal.

  • VAR denied Liverpool a late winning goal in the Merseyside derby. They finished the game with 10 men after Richarlison got a red card in the 90th-minute; but Everton stayed unbeaten in the league after coming from behind on two occasions to pick up a point in a 2-2 draw with Liverpool. It wasn’t the result Liverpool needed after their defeat to Aston Villa, but it was the performance that shows they haven’t lost the plot. Liverpool became the first team to take points from Everton in the 2020/21 season. The most in-form Everton side in years couldn’t get a Merseyside derby win.
  • Kai Harvetz scored in the 59th-minute to restore Chelsea’s lead after the team had blown away the 2-goal lead Timo Werner had given them. The new signings got the goals for Chelsea but maximum points could not be gained at home against Southampton. Jannik Vestergaard scored in the additional time to get Southampton the goal that allowed them to leave Stamford Bridge with a point. Timo Werner opened the scoring for the game with a first half brace to give Chelsea a 2-0 lead before the half-hour mark. Danny Ings halved the lead before the break
  • Manchester City got the job done without Kevin De Bruyne. Raheem Sterling scored the only goal of the match in the 23rd-minute for Manchester City to continue the recent league dominance against Arsenal.
  • Late goals made it a convincing win for Manchester United at Newcastle. Aaron Wan Bissaka scored his first goal for Manchester United to give his side the insurance goal after Bruno Fernandes had placed the team ahead. Before scoring the game winning goal in the 86th-minute,Bruno Fernandes missed a first half penalty (his first penalty in a Manchester United shirt) and also had a goal waved off by VAR. It finished a 4-1 win for Manchester United; with only Manchester United players on the score sheet.
  • Both Sheffield United and Fulham end their losing start to the season by sharing the points to get their first point of the season. It was the best opportunity for both teams to get their first point of the 2020/21 season; and the did. Up next for Sheffield United is Liverpool, and for Fulham its Crystal Palace. The struggle for both clubs are likely to continue.
  • Alexis Mac Allister scored in the 90th-minute for Brighton to deny Crystal Palace a win at home.
  • From a shocking win at Leicester to another in London. West Ham are on a roll. Tottenham took a 3-goal lead in the early minutes of the game, to blow it away in the final minutes of the game. It finished 3-3 in London. Harry Kane scored two and assisted the opening goal of the match to set Tottenham up for three points after 16 minutes of play. The score stayed until the 82nd-minute when Fabian Balbuena pulled one back for West Ham. An own goal by Davinson Sanchez followed to narrow the lead to a single goal, before Manuel Lanzini scored a long-range beauty to secure a point for West Ham.
  • Aston Villa stayed 100%. Ross Barkley scored in additional time to allow Villa to take all three points from Leicester.
