Bayern Munich came from an early goal down to secure an away win and keep pace with the flying RB Leipzig at the top of the league table.

Robert Lewandowski opened and closed the scoring in this match, but it was Arjen Robben’s 21st-minute goal that gave the defending champions the win.

Mainz 05 put in a good fight, but the talent of Bayern’s team was too much for Mainz to overcome.

Another undefeated side in the 2016/17 Bundesliga extended their record.

RB Leipzig remains three points clear at the top of the table after another win. Both teams were in great form ahead of this match, so we expected and got a close contest.

A very questionable penalty was awarded to Leipzig to give them an amazing start to the match.  The resulting goal gave Leipzig the lead for about 30 minutes before Saed Kolasinac scored to level it up for Schalke 04.

Two minutes into the second half, Saed Kolasinac canceled his equalizing goal for Schalke 04 after he headed the ball into his own net to give RB Leipzig the winning goal.

Emil Forsberg’s whipped cross into the box was too powerful to be re-directed away from goal. Kolasinac’s failed attempt to head the ball out of the danger zone was how Schalke lost ended their streak of twelve undefeated matches in all competitions.

A match between two relegation-zoned teams allowed for the final winless side in 2016/17 Bundesliga to get a win.

Finally, Hamburger SV has managed to get a victory in this season’s Bundesliga.

Both teams remain in the relegation zone, but a victory for Darmstadt would have helped them out of that zone.
