GROUP B
Brazil won ‘Group B’ after three wins in three games.
A ‘2-1’ victory against Colombia opened a 5 point gap between Brazil and the rest of the teams in Group B.
Chile and Colombia have completed their scheduled fixtures for the group stage. The other teams have one more game to play.
Bolivia is already eliminated, and Venezuela and Ecuador are the teams at risk of joining Bolivia.
BRAZIL
Brazil has gone through the tournament winning all of their matches.
A 3-0 win against Venezuela on the opening day was followed by a 4-0 win against Peru. Their third game was the controversial one, but it ended in a win after coming from a goal down to win 2-1 against Colombia.
Brazil’s final match will be against Ecuador. With a victory against Ecuador in their final group game, Brazil will complete ‘Group B’ with a100% win rate.

ECUADOR
With Venezuela lurking, Ecuador’s game against Brazil will demand the best from them to stay alive in the competition.
After the defeat to Colombia in their opening match, Ecuador was involved in ‘2-2’ draws.

VENEZUELA
Venezuela has managed to avoid a defeat since their opening day defeat to Brazil; a goalless draw with Colombia, and a ‘2-2’ draw with Ecuador.
Venezuela will go against Peru in their final group game.
The expectation is that Brazil will beat Ecuador in the round. Should the expectations hold up, a Venezuela win or draw against Peru will be enough to get Venezuela into the knock-out stage.

PERU
Peru’s only defeat has come against Brazil.
Their final match of ‘Group B’ will allow them to finish second in the group. A win for them will likely sink Venezuela.

COLOMBIA
Colombia will finish ‘Group B’ with 4 points.
Their ‘1-0’ win against Ecuador in their opening match of the tournament ended up being their only win from the 4 scheduled matches. They played out a goalless draw with Venezuela before a 2-1 defeat against Peru, and Brazil.

It’s all open in Group A for a winner. Argentina leads and are the favorites to win the group but Paraguay and Uruguay are mathematically in position to take the number 1 spot. With Bolivia out, the remaining teams in the group are into the quarterfinals.
ARGENTINA
It looks like if Argentina can protect their 1-goal lead, they will win the game.
Argentina kicked off the tournament with a draw against Chile.
Their next games were ‘1-0’ wins against Uruguay and against Paraguay.
They close out the competition against an already-eliminated Bolivia.

BOLIVIA
Bolivia is eliminated after losing all their games.
Their final match in Group A is against Argentina.

URUGUAY
Uruguay won their first match of the tournament when they met Bolivia in their third game.
They kicked off with a defeat to Argentina and managed a point against Chile after an own-goal.

PARAGUAY
Paraguay is in a position to win Group A.
With a game left to be played, Paraguay has two victories sandwiching a defeat against Argentina.
Their final game in the group is against Uruguay. A win will at least keep them in second place in that group, a defeat will see them lose second place to Uruguay.
