Barcelona and Real Madrid occupying the top two spots in La Liga is business as usual. Both teams remain unbeaten, with Barcelona holding the top spot thanks to a flawless winning record. Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid have reclaimed third place after briefly slipping to fourth over the weekend.
At the other end of the table, Getafe and Las Palmas are still searching for their first wins of the season, with Las Palmas rooted to the bottom of the standings, having collected the fewest points.

Sevilla ( 2 ) – ( 1 ) Valladolid
The match ended with Sevilla going a man down after Marcao picked up a red card in extra time. All the goals had been scored by that point, with Chidera Ejuke netting the winning goal in the 85th minute to restore Sevilla’s first-half lead and secure the three points against Valladolid. Both teams entered the game with just one league win, and Sevilla doubled theirs.

Valencia ( 0 ) – ( 0 ) Osasuna
Valencia and Osasuna, both coming off weekend victories, shared the points in a goalless draw.

Real Madrid ( 3 ) – ( 2 ) Alavés
After scoring in the opening minute and going three goals up within two minutes of the second half, Real Madrid secured a narrow 1-goal victory against Alavés. Two goals in quick succession in the final 10 minutes of regulation time (85th and 86th) narrowed Real Madrid’s margin of victory, with Rodrygo’s 48th-minute goal proving to be the game-winner.

Girona (0) – (0) Rayo Vallecano
Girona is now without a win in four straight games, breaking a run of consecutive league defeats and a Champions League loss with the draw at home against Rayo Vallecano. The result also marked back-to-back league draws for Rayo Vallecano.

Barcelona (1) – (0) Getafe
Robert Lewandowski’s goal in the 19th minute was enough to earn Barcelona a home win over Getafe, keeping them at the top of the La Liga standings and extending their record to 7 wins from 7 in the new season.

Espanyol ( 1 ) – ( 2 ) Villarreal
Ayoze Pérez scored twice to help Villarreal come from behind for a 2-1 road win against Espanyol. Jofre Carreras put Espanyol ahead in added time of the first half, but Pérez quickly equalized, sending the game into the break level at 1-1. Pérez then scored the only goal of the second half in the 63rd minute to secure all three points for Villarreal.

Las Palmas ( 1 ) – ( 1 ) Real Betis
A goalless second half saw Las Palmas remain without a win, though they avoided a home defeat to Real Betis. Giovani Lo Celso scored the equalizer for Real Betis in the third minute of first-half added time, earning them a point in a 1-1 draw at Las Palmas.

Celta Vigo ( 0 ) – ( 1 ) Atlético Madrid
Arguably against the run of play, Julián Álvarez scored the game’s only goal in the 90th minute, allowing Atlético Madrid to escape with all three points away at Celta Vigo.
