Manchester City’s poor start continued as more points got dropped against teams that they would have been expected to beat. Phil Foden’s 51st-minute goal gave Manchester City a point against West Ham. The result meant West Ham have survived this short period in the league with fewer points dropped than what many expected.

Newly-promoted Fulham remained without a win after a defeat at home to Crystal Palace. Despite a late red card to Aboubaka Kamara to see Fulham finish the match with a numerical disadvantage, they managed to pull one back in the dying minutes of additional time.

Manchester United and Chlesea played out a goalless draw to share the points. Recent result made Chelsea more in need of a win in this fixture’ a third straight draw in all competitions.

Liverpool survived Sheffield United. In their first league game without Virgil van Djik, Liverpool fought back from a goal down to take all three points at home against a Sheffield United side that remains without a league win this season.

From 3-3 comeback against Chelsea to ending Everton’s unbeaten run.
Danny Ings wasn’t on the score sheet but assisted both goals for Southampton to end Everton’s unbeaten start to the season in the Premier League. James Ward-Prowse and Che Adams gave Everton a 2-goal lead that lasted the match. It was also back-to-back matches, Everton did not end with 11 men. Lucas Digne was sent off on a red in the 72nd-minute.

Newcaslte stole a point away after Jacob Murphy scored an 89th equalizer for his side to deny Wolves a win.

Jamie Vardy came off the bench and gave Leicester the winning goal against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Tottenham are unbeaten in all competitions since their Premier League opening round defeat against Everton. Heung-Min Son scored the only goal of the match to give Tottenham the permission to leave Burnley with all three points.
