Another chance for Everton.

EVERTON- Was last season a fluke or a sign of what is to come for Everton?

As bad as the 2021/22 English Premier League season was for Everton, they will be expected not to repeat the struggle in the coming season.

Granted that these were results against clubs that struggled through the season, Everton was unbeaten in their first four league fixtures (3 wins and a draw).

Everton started their season with a win (against Southampton) and ended it with a defeat (against Arsenal).
Their first defeat of the season was away against Aston Villa (3-0).
Their second defeat happened at home against West Ham (1-0).

It was a narrow escape from relegation in the end.
The month of May saved Everton from relegation.
Two wins in August.
Two wins in September.
A win in December.
Another win in February.
A win in March,
A win in April.
Three wins in May.

A dramatic win against Crystal Palace in the penultimate match of the 2021/22 Premier League season saved them from relegation. Everton had to recover from 2 goals down in the final 45 minutes to get the win that saved their season.
