Girona suffered a defeat, losing ‘1-0’ to Mallorca. Barcelona played to a goalless draw with Athletic Club, while Atletico Madrid emerged victorious with a ‘2-1’ win against Real Betis.

🇫🇷 Paris Saint-Germain holds a nine-point lead in the Ligue 1 title race, and with 10 rounds remaining in the season, they stand on the verge of keeping the league title.

🇩🇪 / 🇳🇱 Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga and PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Eredivisie remain unbeaten, each boasting a 10-point advantage over the reigning champions in their respective leagues. With 10 rounds remaining in the season, both teams are in a prime position to secure the league title. If the current form persists, they are poised to become champions with just seven more victories.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 There is a point interval between Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal as they lead the Premier League title race. Aston Villa trails by 6 points, positioning themselves just outside the three-horse race.

Liverpool, Roma, Marseille, and AC Milan all secured healthy first-leg leads, with Liverpool securing their victory on the road.

Benfica staged a comeback from a goal down on two occasions to avoid a home defeat against Rangers. Despite Benfica’s dominance, Rangers proved clinical in their performance.

Marseille found themselves 4-0 up before Villarreal went down to ten men, as Alberto Moreno received his second yellow card in the 62nd minute.

Roma registered a convincing 4-0 win over Brighton, with two goals in each half and contributions from four different goal scorers.

Arsenal is expected to claim a win against Brentford to apply pressure on Liverpool and Manchester City. Considering recent results and the current league position, Arsenal is likely to secure a significant margin of victory.

Girona, hanging onto second place in the La Liga title race, needs a win against Osasuna to guarantee their position for another round.

BAYER LEVERKUSEN’s BUNDESLIGA TITLE RUN:

Bayer Leverkusen has never won the Bundesliga title in its history but has been runners-up on five occasions. This season could mark their first league title. They were runners-up in the league in 2011, their best finish in recent years. Their best finish before 2011 was in 2002, where they went from the possibility of a treble-winning season to being trophyless.

In that season, They narrowly missed the Bundesliga title by a point to Borussia Dortmund, despite holding an advantageous position with just three games left in the season. They reached the UEFA Champions League final and lost to Real Madrid by a single goal (1-0). They made it to the DFB-Pokal final but suffered a ‘4-2’ defeat to Schalke, despite being the first to score a goal.

2001/02 GERMAN BUNDESLIGA:
Bayer Leverkusen held a 4-point lead with four more rounds remaining in the Bundesliga season, extending it to a 5-point lead with three rounds left. However, their fortunes took a turn when they suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Werder Bremen, while Dortmund secured a victory by the same scoreline against FC Koln, narrowing the gap to two points.
In the subsequent round, Dortmund emerged as ‘4-3’ winners away against Hamburger SV, while Leverkusen faced a ‘1-0’ defeat away against Nurnberg. This outcome enabled Dortmund to seize the lead in the title race in the penultimate round. On the final day of the season, both Leverkusen and Dortmund secured ‘2-1’ victories, maintaining the league table as it was and crowning Dortmund as the champions.
