Who could have predicted that a newly-promoted team and the defending champions would be equal in points after 15 league matches?

It is an opportunity for a team to go into the winter break as the sole leader in the Bundesliga standings.

Inter Milan – Lazio (Serie A)

Inter Milan sits in 7th place on the league table. They started the season with aspirations of doing better than what they’ve shown us so far. Recent results show an incline in their performance and they would be hoping to close the point gap against 4th place Lazio with a home victory.
Inter Milan’s intentions would be to cut the point gap down to 4 points. Lazio would be looking to at least keep a 7 point gap or extend it to 10.
Paris Saint-Germain – Lorient (Ligue 1)

With Lorient being at the bottom of the Ligue 1 standings and the home advantage that Paris Saint-Germain would have in this fixture, this should be an easy win for the PSG.
This ‘easy win’ is also a ‘must win’ for Paris Saint-Germain. After dropping points in consecutive league matches, PSG can’t afford to drop any more points as we head into the winter break for Ligue 1.
Fiorentina – Napoli (Serie A)

Napoli is in good form and has a healthy 8points lead over Fiorentina.
The risk for Fiorentina is that a defeat to Napoli could see them near the exit of the top half of the league table. That would be below pre-season expectations.
