PEC Zwolle ( 1 ) – ( 2 ) AZ Alkmaar
AZ Alkmaar, still unbeaten and brimming with confidence after a dominant 9-1 thrashing of Heerenveen, continued their fine form with a 2-1 away victory against PEC Zwolle. Despite Zwolle’s struggles this season—managing just one win and coming off a 1-1 draw with Twente—AZ Alkmaar were made to work for the points, but ultimately extended their unbeaten run with another well-earned result. Ibrahim Sadiq scored both goals for AZ Alkmaar.

Utrecht ( 3 ) – ( 2 ) Willem II
Cisse Sandra scored twice for Willem II, both times bringing his team level, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win at Utrecht. A couple of own goals and a penalty gave Utrecht the three goals they needed to claim all three points at home, resulting in a 3-2 victory over Willem II. The result keeps Utrecht unbeaten in the league.

RKC Waalwijk ( 1 ) – ( 2 ) Sparta Rotterdam
Sparta Rotterdam secured their second league win of the season, as RKC Waalwijk suffered their sixth consecutive defeat in the Eredivisie, falling 2-1 at home to Sparta.

Go Ahead Eagles ( 1 ) – ( 1 ) Ajax
Two goals, scored about five minutes apart, resulted in a 1-1 draw as Ajax came from behind against Go Ahead Eagles to take a point home.

Heerenveen ( 2 ) – ( 1 ) Groningen
Heerenveen bounced back from two consecutive defeats—a staggering 9-1 loss to AZ Alkmaar and a 2-0 setback against Twente—with a hard-fought 2-1 victory at home against Groningen. The turning point came in the 69th minute, shortly after Groningen’s Marvin Peersman received a red card, leaving his team with just 10 men. Heerenveen capitalized on the advantage and found the game winning goal. Things worsened for Groningen when Brynjolfur Willumsson also saw red in the 82nd minute.

Almere City ( 0 ) – ( 5 ) Twente
Almere City remains without a win after six rounds of the Eredivisie season, suffering a heavy 5-0 defeat at home to FC Twente. This result marks Twente’s first consecutive victories of the campaign.

Feyenoord ( 2 ) – ( 0 ) NAC Breda
Feyenoord maintained their unbeaten start in the Eredivisie with a 2-0 victory over newly-promoted NAC Breda, securing their second win of the season.

Fortuna Sittard ( 1 ) – ( 3 ) PSV Eindhoven
PSV Eindhoven extended their perfect start to the Eredivisie season with a 3-1 away win against Fortuna Sittard, marking their sixth consecutive victory in their title defense campaign. Mark Tillman opened the scoring early on in the 16th minute, and restored PSV’s lead in the 68th minute after Ezequiel Bullaude had leveled the match for Fortuna Sittard in the 32nd minute. Luuk de Jong then sealed the result with a third goal, ensuring PSV maintained their flawless record as they continue their charge at the top of the table.
