  • Since defeat against Liverpool (rd 2) Chlesea have gone unbeaten in the league.
  • Aston Villa went from a 3-0 away win against Arsenal to a 2-1 home defeat against a Brighton side that came into the match with a single win from 8 league games.

  • Mourinho’s team got the better of Guardiola’s. Manchester City had all the applicable stats in their favor, except for the goals to win the game. Golas from Heung Min Son and Giovani Lo Celso handed Tottenham their fourth straight league win since shockingly dropping points at home against West Ham.
  • Manchester United won their first home match of the season. It was against a West Brom side that has remained without a win since the start of the season.
  • Dominc Calvert-Lewn scored two goals as Everton ended a run of three league defeats in the league with a narrow 3-2 win against Fulham.
  • A 1-0 defeat at home against West Ham leaves Sheffield United winless in the league this season after 9 matches played.
  • Leeds United and Arsenal ended in a goalless draw. Nicolas Pepe saw red. Both teams needed a win; Arsenal to bounce back from hammering at home from Aston Villa in the last round, and Leeds needed a result to help make up for successive defeats in recent matches.
  • Liverpool jumped two points above Leicester City with a 3-0 win at Anfield. Despite a lengthy injury list + COVID 19 positivity in the team, Liverpool have managed to survive both domestic an continental competitions.
Liverpool are missing star players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson, Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Thiago Alcantara, Mo Salah
  • A 1-0 win against Crystal Palace handed Burnley their first league win of the season.
  • Despite failing to hold on to their lead and secure a 4th straight league win, Southampton left Wolves with a point and a 7th straight match unbeaten in the league after starting their season with consecutive defeats.
