COPA AMERICA AFTER THE GROUP STAGE
Of the six CONCACAF region nations who were involved in the 2024 Copa America, four were eliminated in the group stage, π¨π· Costa Rica, π―π² Jamaica, π²π½ Mexico, and πΊπΈ United States. The advancing two are π¨π¦ Canada and π΅π¦ Panama
Colombia was the only group winner to do so without the maximum points.
THE STANDINGS:
GROUP A: π¦π· Argentina (9), π¨π¦ Canada (4), π¨π± Chile (2), π΅πͺ Peru (1)
GROUP B: π»πͺ Venezuela (9), πͺπ¨ Ecuador (4), π²π½ Mexico (4), π―π² Jamaicao (0)

GROUP D: π¨π΄ Colombia (7), π§π· Brazil (5), π¨π· Costa Rica (4), π΅πΎ Paraguay (0)
Canada advanced to the quarterfinals in their first-ever Copa America to become the first CONCACAF nation to advance to the quarterfinal in the 2024 Copa America, eliminating two CONMEBOL nations (Chile and Peru) in the process, while Argentina won Group A with maximum points.
Mexico was held to a goalless draw, becoming the second CONCACAF side eliminated, while Jamaica entered the final round of the group already eliminated. Venezuela won Group B and advanced with Ecuador.
Uruguay flew out of Group C as winners, with Panama tagging along. The host nation, the United States, is out along with Bolivia. The United States becomes the fourth CONCACAF nation to be eliminated, while Panama goes through as the second CONCACAF nation to advance.
The only way Brazil would miss out on the quarterfinals is if they suffer defeat against Colombia while Costa Rica picks up a win against Paraguay. For that scenario to affect Brazilβs odds, there would also need to be a swing of 4+ goals in Costa Ricaβs favor. Brazil advanced with Colombia from Group D after playing out a 1-all draw against each other, while Costa Rica exited the tournament with Paraguay.

π§π΄ Bolivia ( 1 ) – ( 3 ) π΅π¦ PanamaΒ
Bolivia was virtually eliminated, as they needed a win by a margin of at least 8 goals to stand a chance. π¨π· Costa Rica ( 2 ) – ( 1 ) π΅πΎ ParaguayΒ
It was a win on the night for Costa Rica, but not enough in points to get them to the quarterfinal. It looked very promising for Costa Rica when they went up by two goals in the opening 7 minutes, but that was all the scoring they did, winning 2-1 against Paraguay.
π§π· Brazil ( 1 ) – ( 1 ) π¨π΄ Colombia
Colombia proved to be worthy winners of Group D with a draw against Brazil.
Colombia had clinched a place in the quarterfinals, but Brazil hadn’t. The two sides played against each other in their final match in Group D with the pressure on Brazil to get a result. It ended in a 1-1 draw, with Colombia coming from behind to secure the top spot. Fortunately for Brazil, a draw was enough for them to advance.
THE QUARTERFINALS
