Newly-promoted Granada picked up their 5th win of their opening 9 matches to finish the round in 3rd-place.

Barcelona’s attacking trio got a goal each as they handed Eibar a ‘3-0’ defeat. Barcelona moved to the top of the pile in the league standings with the result after Real Madrid failed to get anything out of their match against Mallorca. It was Barcelona’s fourth straight win since their defeat to Granada.

Dani Parejo’s freekick earned a draw for Valencia at the Wanda Metropolitano. Atletico Madrid dropped points at home to Valencia in a ‘1-1’ draw. It was a consecutive league draws for Atletico Madrid.

Angel Rodriguez provided the goals in the second-half for Getafe to keep Leganes winless in the league.

Real Madrid loses the top spot in the league after falling ‘1-0’ to newly-promoted Mallorca. Junior Lago’s 7th-minute goal was enough for the home side to shock Real Madrid.

Alaves leap over Celta Vito in the standings after a ‘2-0’ win.

Real Betis falls in the relegation zone after going three straight matches without a win despite being first to get on the scoreboard against Real Sociedad. The ‘3-1’ home win ended Real Sociedad’s losing streak in the leak at 2 matches.

It was a win on the road this time around for Villarreal after their defeat to Osasuna in the previous round. Karl Toko Ekambi scored the only goal of the match for Villarreal to take all three points from relegation-zoned Espanyol.

A defensive error in the penalty box ended up stripping Athletic Club of 2 points from their match against Real Valladolid.

Luuk de Jong’s first La Liga goal handed Sevilla a home win against Levante.
