With the results from around the league, a win for Freiburg could have seen them end the round as league leaders. A ‘2-0’ home victory for Augsburg helps in their early battle to remain in the top flight for another season.
Wout Weghorst scored an 82nd-minute equalizing goal for Wolfsburg to avoid defeat in Leipzig.
Dodi Lukebakio equaled the score in the 70th-minute for Hertha Berlin to leave Werder Bremen with a point.
Rouwen Henning’s goal in the 82nd-minute gave Fortuna Dusseldorf the win over a Mainz side that was reduced to 10 men when Edimilson Fernandes was sent off on a red card at the end of the first-half.
