Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal for Juventus was only good enough to earn them the maximum points at home against Genoa. Daniel Bessa’s equalizing header secured a point for Genoa while avoiding successive league defeat. This is the first slip-up of the season by Juventus. The chasing pack in Serie A will be hoping for more days like this.

Roma is beaten at home by SPAL to end win winning run of 4 competitive matches.

Napoli scored 2 goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation time to make it a convincing 3-0 victory at home against Udinese. The victory allowed Napoli to take advantage of the points Juventus dropped by cutting the gap between the two teams down to 4 points.

A battle in the drop zone, Matias Silvestre made up for the goal he gave to Frosinone to take an early lead against his Empoli side by scoring to give them a lead lasted briefly in their 3-3 draw. Frosinone remains winless but avoided defeat to a fellow relegation side.

Bologna came from2 goals down to stop Torino from taking an away victory.


Josip Ilicic scored three goals for Atalanta to seal a comfortable ‘5-1’ victory over bottom table Chievo Verona.


Lazio kept up the pace with the rest of the ‘top four’ in the league after getting the goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation time to defeat promoted Parma. The result denied Parma from making it a third successive victory since their defeat to Napoli.


Fiorentina and Cagliari shared the points in a 1-1 draw while the City of Milan gets painted in ‘Blue and Black’ after Mauro Icardi snatched a win for Inter Milan with a goal in the additional minutes.
