Italian Serie A

2018/19 Italian Serie A – Round 3 – Juventus the only unbeaten side in the league.

A good round for the Milan teams
Both teams were coming from a disappointing result from their previous matches, but it was AC Milan that found redemption. Patrick Cutrone scored a later winning goal in the final minute of injury time to see that AC Milan reinstate their first-half lead and pick up a victory at home against Roma.

Radja Nainggolan scored on his debut by opening the scoring in a match that saw his Inter Milan side find three second-half goals to beat Bologna.

Despite conceding a goal within 2 minutes from kick-off, newly promoted Parma fought a good fight to get back on level terms, but Blaise Matuidi scored the winning goal for Juventus to pick up another victory and keep their run to defend the Scudetto on a perfect start.

Having their opening round match postponed might be Fiorentina’s argument for not being at the top of the Serie A table after 3 rounds. Marco Benassi scored the only goal of the match in the 73rd minute to hand Fiorentina a victory over Udinese.

Cagliari picks up their first maximum points at Atalanta. Chievo Verona remains at the bottom of the league table after playing out a goalless draw with Empoli.

After defeats in their opening two fixtures, it took a visit from newly-promoted Frosinone for Lazio to pick up their first victory of the season. Luis Alberto’s early second-half goal handed Lazio their 3 points.

Napoli couldn’t come from behind this time around.
Fabio Quagliarella acrobatic flick of the ball into the net was the icing on the cake for Sampdoria in a ‘3-0’ victory at home over Napoli.

Sassuolo moved up to second place in the standings after a ‘5-3’ victory against Genoa.
Sassuolo was 4 goals clear before Genoa reduce the deficit in the final quarter of the match to make it a respectable defeat.

In an evenly contested fixture, Torino denied SPAL 2013 from keeping it perfect. SPAL 2013 suffered their first defeat of the season after falling to a goal behind in the 52nd-minute.
