Borussia Monchengladbach got the win to put them in position to close in on Borussia Dortmund when they face each other this weekend.

Hertha Berlin and Augsburg shared evenly shared 4 goals in the first half to earn a point each. For Augsburg it the 3rd draw in a 7-match winless streak.

4 wins and a draw in their last 5 league matches has Wolfsburg in touching distance from the ‘top four’ after victory against a Stuttgart side that was coming from a victory against Hertha Berlin.

Borussia Dortmund suffered their first league defeat of the season at the hands of newly-promoted Fortuna Dusseldorf. Who would have thought that it was going to take a newly-promoted team to end Dortmund’s unbeaten run in the league at 15 matches?

Schalke falls at home to Bayer Leverkusen to make it four league matches without a win.

The match ended with both teams getting a player sent off on a red card, but Franck Ribery scored an important goal for Bayern Munich to get a vital win at home to maintain their position in the league while opening up a 5-point gap between themselves and Leipzig.

It was the 5th straight draw for Hoffenheim in the league when Theodor Selassie’s late equalizer for Werder Bremen denied Hoffenheim from opening a 4 point gap between the two sides.

Hannover avoids defeat at Freiburg but didn’t do enough to help dig themselves out of the relegation zone.

Luka Jovic scored for Frankfurt to cancel Robin Quaison’s goals for Mainz. A brace for both players.
