Nicolas Pepe missed an opportunity to get his team on level terms earlier in the first half, but Lille gripped firmly to second place in the league after coming from behind to get a home victory against Amiens.

It might be their revenge for what happened in the French League Cup, but Paris St. Germain didn’t hold back against bottom table Guingamp when the sides met again after Guingamp eliminated Paris St. Germain at the quarter-final stage of the French League Cup just 10 days prior. Both Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe scored a hattrick, while Neymar scored a brace after getting the match opening goal. PSG’s 13 point lead remains intact.

Angers win their first in 7 league matches after a 1-0 victory at home against a Nantes side that is falling down the league table after a decent start to their season. Nantes is on a 3-match losing run.

A 10-man Dijon team remained in the relegation zone after a defeat at Bordeaux.

An early red card to Monaco’s Naldo didn’t help the team. Monaco was on the wrong end of a 5-1 score after getting thrashed at home by Strasbourg.

Toulouse moved a point away from Nimes after a 1-0 victory.

A penalty awarded deep into the additional time allowed Nice to pull level and take a point at Reims. The equalizing goal for Nice was clocked in at +9 minutes pass the regulation time.

Rennes and Montpellier shared the points.

Morgan Sanson‘s headed in the only goal of the match to give Marseille their first win in their last 10 competitive matches.

Lyon was starring at a run of 4 winless league matches when Romain Hanouma gave Saint-Etienne a first-half lead that lasted until Nabil Fekir got them level from the spot on the 65th minute Moussa Dembele score the late winner to hand Lyon a victory that saw them leap over Saint-Etienne and replace them as 3rd in the league standings.
