Round three of the 2017/18 German Bundesliga saw Alfred Finnbogason(Augsburg) score a hat-trick against FC Koln to climb up to the top of the goal scoring list in the league. Hoffenheim’s Mark Uth also scored two goals to climb up the goalscoring list as well. Uth’s brace was what gave defending champions Bayern Munich a first league defeat in just three matches.
Borussia Dortmund remains on top of the league table despite failing to get a victory against Freiburg. A victory would have allowed Dortmund to take full advantage of Bayern Munich’s defeat at Hoffenheim.
The three undefeated sides left in the league are residing at the top of the table, separated by goal difference
It is too early to get excited about the competition at the top, but Bundesliga is looking like a league that will keep our attention till the 34th round.
