A ‘Neymar-less’ Paris Saint-Germain dropped their first set of points in the 2017/18 French Ligue 1 season after being denied a victory away by Montpellier. The goalless draw result allowed Monaco to close in on PSG at the top of the league standings.
Monaco scored four goals to pick up an away victory at Lille. It was four goals that reignited Monaco’s hopes of defending their league title. Radamel Falcao scored a brace for Monaco in the fixture to extend his league goals up to 11 goals and firmly securing the topscorer position.
Lyon and Dijon gave an entertaining 6-goal match, while Nice had to come from two goals behind to avoid a humiliating defeat at home to Angers.
