Spanish La Liga

2017/18 Spanish La Liga – Round 34 – FC Barcelona is a point away from the La Liga title.

Barcelona and Real Madrid were not part of the actions over the weekend, as Barcelona was involved in the Copa del Rey final with Sevilla (Real Madrid’s opposition for Round 34).

Barcelona celebrated their 30th Copa del Rey title and being a point away from the league title after Atletico Madrid’s failure to beat Real Betis.

Las Palmas is relegated after conceding four goals without offering a reply to Alaves.
Deportivo La Coruna is kept in the relegation zone after a goalless draw at Leganes to open the round.

Celta Vigo came from behind to get a draw against a ‘top four’ team in a consecutive match and held Valencia to a ‘1-1’ draw.

Three wins in a row for Getafe after a ‘1-0’ away victory against Eibar.

Relegated Malaga put a bit of smile on the faces of their supporters with a ‘2-0’ home victory against Real Sociedad. It was Malaga’s 2nd win in the 17 competitive matches played in 2018.(14 defeats)

It was a consecutive league victory for Levante after beating Athletic Club to pick up an away victory that is sure to help with the objective to stay in the league for another season.
