Juventus opened a 6-point gap between themselves and Napoli in the title race with only 18 points left for each team in the league. A ‘3-0’ home victory for Juventus against Sampdoria and a goalless draw for Napoli against AC Milan at the San Siro has probably decided the title winner for the 2018 Serie A season.
There were no losers in the Rome Derby. Both Lazio and Roma took a point to remain in the top four. Inter Milan was held to a draw by Atalanta and denied the opportunity to take advantage of the results of the ‘Rome Derby’
Cagliari helped their relegation battles by beating Udinese. The ‘2-1’ victory put Cagliari a point away from Udinese in the standings.
