2017/18 German Bundesliga – Round 14 – Bayern picks up win while the challengers drop points.

Round 14 of the 2017/18 German Bundesliga saw Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich) take a penalty against Hannover 96 to increase his goals for the season to 14.

Dortmund remained winless in 7 consecutive Bundesliga matches after a ‘1-1’ draw at Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern Munich made up for the points dropped in the last round against Borussia Monchengladbach with a victory at home over Hannover 96. The victory in addition to Hoffenheim’s hammering of second-placed RB Leipzig allowed Bayern the opportunity to open a 6-point gap between themselves and the rest of the league. The chasing pack (Schalke 04 and Borussia Moenchengladbach, and Borussia Dortmund) failed to secure maximum points to close in on Bayern.
