German Bundesliga

2017/18 German Bundesliga – Round 12 – Dortmund is falling apart.

… And Borussia Dortmund is out of the ‘top four’ in the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund opened the 12th round of the 2017/18 Bundesliga with a defeat at Stuttgart. Borussia Dortmund has picked up a point in their last five matches, and for this reason, Bayern Munich is now 6-points clear at the top of the league standings and 9-points clear from fifth-placed Borussia Dortmund.

RB Leipzig had to settle for a point after failing to hold on to a lead against a 10-man Bayer Leverkusen. The point was not enough to secure Leipzig’s place in the standings, as Schalke defeated Hamburger SV to climb level on points (and a better goal difference) with Leipzig.

Robert Lewandowski scored two goals to ensure that his Bayern Munich side didn’t miss the opportunity to widen the gap at the top of the league table. Those two goals sent Lewandowski’s goals tally to 13 at the top of the ‘Top Scorers’ list in the league.

What a way to get your first victory of the season. – Max Kruse scored a hattrick to guide his Werder Bremen side get their first victory of the season through a ‘4-0’ victory over Hannover 96.
