English Premier League

2017/18 English Premier League – Round 15 – Manchester City dismisses another stubborn opposition, while David De Gea saves.

A record-equalling 13 consecutive Premier League wins – Manchester City remains 8-points clear at the top of the league table and undefeated in the league after defeating West Ham by a ‘2-1’ score. City had to score two goals in the second-half to overcome West Ham’s first-half lead.

In the highlighted match of the weekend, David De Gea’s goalkeeping heroics in combination with Manchester United’s offensive pressure early in the fixture was what gave the side an away victory over Arsenal. The ‘3-1’ score allowed second-placed Manchester United to keep the gap between themselves and Manchester City, while Arsenal gets knocked out of the ‘top four’.

Liverpool traveled to trash West Bromwich Albion to replace Arsenal in the ‘Top Four’ on the league table. Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah did not get on the scoresheet despite his side scoring 5 goals in this match. Salah, however, remains topscorer in the league with 12 goals.

Two second-half goals against Huddersfield Town meant a back to back league victories for Everton for the first time in the season.

A‘1-1’ draw against Watford meant that Tottenham has only secured 17% of the points available in their last four matches, while Chelsea came from an early goal down to be victorious at home over Newcastle United.
